Creating a New Interview

Navigate to Interview Management

Log in to your InterviewGuard account and click on "Interview Management" in the left navigation. From there, click the "Schedule Interview" button to create a new protected interview.

Enter Candidate Details

Fill in the candidate information:

  • Candidate name - Full name of the interviewee
  • Candidate email - Email address for sending the interview link
  • Position - The role they are interviewing for

Set Interview Schedule

Choose the date and time for the interview.

  • Select date and start time
  • Time zone is automatically detected, but can be manually changed

Add Video Meeting Link

Paste the video conferencing link for your interview. InterviewGuard works with all major platforms:

  • Zoom
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Google Meet
  • Webex and other platforms

Send Invitation

Review the details and click "Schedule Interview". The candidate will receive an email with:

  • Interview date, time, and duration
  • Unique InterviewGuard session link
  • Instructions for downloading the InterviewGuard desktop app

What Candidates See

When candidates click their interview link, they will be guided through a simple setup process:

  1. 1.Download desktop app - A lightweight application available for Windows, macOS, and Linux
  2. 2.Install and launch - Quick installation process with guided setup
  3. 3.Review consent - Acknowledge that the interview will be monitored
  4. 4.Join video call - The app opens the video meeting in their browser

For Interviewers

As an interviewer, you don't need to install anything. Here's what you do:

  1. 1.Join via your regular meeting link - Use the same Zoom, Teams, or Meet link as always
  2. 2.Conduct the interview normally - Focus on evaluating the candidate
  3. 3.Check the dashboard - View real-time alerts during the interview if desired
  4. 4.Review the report - After the interview, access the full integrity report from your dashboard

Tips for Best Results

Schedule in Advance

Give candidates at least 24 hours notice so they have time to download the desktop app and test their setup.

Verify Email Addresses

Double-check candidate email addresses to ensure they receive the invitation and monitoring link.

Inform Your Team

Let interviewers know the session is being monitored so they can focus on the interview itself.

Don't Use the Candidate Link

Interviewers should join via their regular meeting link, not the candidate's InterviewGuard link.
